Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics have enjoyed a spectacular start to 2013 producing dazzling productions around the globe. From the spectacular City of Melbourne NYE celebrations to the Australia Day Spectacular in Darling Harbour all while the amazing Nitro Circus toured throughout Europe and New Zealand.
New Years Eve celebrations around the nation were capped off with spectacular fireworks displays by the Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics crew. The largest display was presented in Melbourne and featured dazzling effects launched from atop 18 city buildings and 6 sites around the city illuminating it with a galaxy of pyrotechnic stars.
The weather was perfect and the mood was electric with over 500,000 revellers partied across the city, lovers locked lips and 8.5 tonnes fireworks dazzled the city skyline to herald in the new year in style.
Andrew Howard was delighted with the display. “It’s a very large and very challenging display to produce but its very rewarding to see it all come together, it was very impressive show and its great to bring so much enjoyment to so many people. The City of Melbourne display had 50 crew all working so hard throughout the holiday period and we had an additional 70 crew working on our other displays in Sydney, Adelaide, Darwin, Alice Springs Perth and in Tasmania. They are all an amazing crew and I’m so proud and appreciative of everyone of them. It’s a big team effort.”
There was no rest for the crews as on the 26th January community celebrations all across our ‘big brown land’ were illuminated with spectacular fireworks displays to conclude Australia Day celebrations.
Sydney’s famous Darling Harbour Spectacular was produced by Andrew Walsh (Accolade Events) and featured a fantastic original music soundtrack by well known Australian musician Felix Riebl of The Cat Empire. Cockle Bay was surrounded with an impressive array of searchlights, lasers, a powerful sound system and a huge crowd. Stuart Bensley, Howard & Sons Display Designer, produced an innovating ‘in the round’ twenty minute pyromusical fired from 13 barges around the bay.
The wacky Nitro Circus Live recently toured around Europe to sell out crowds, and you can see why with such a crazy show of amazing stunts; that anyone with a brain under their helmet would never attempt. The Nitro Cirus Live show features indoor close proximity pyrotechnics and impressive firejets designed and supplied by the talented and sometimes just as crazy Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics crew.
The Nitro Circus Live show is touring region areas of Australia from March to June 2013 and you can find out more by visiting www.nitrocircuslive.com
